19:3435552Just wanted to wish all you Forumites a Very Happy Christmas.
Hope Santa brings you what you'd like and all those normally on their own, spend some time with friends or family.
If you know of anyone on their own, call in and say hello.
May all those at the Age Concern lunch on Christmas Day have a wonderful time and well done all those organising it - including the Mayor for giving up her own time - Buddy too for entertaining them.
May no one slip on any ice; may you all keep healthy, have a great new year and many personal successes throughout 2010.
Have a good one if you can.
Roger

19:5735554You too, Roger. Thanks for your assistance and encouragement for my business, too. Perhaps see you for a sherry over the festive period.
True friends stab you in the front.

20:1135556Happy Christmas wish to all you guys too..well said there Roger re the Age Concern item. They are all doing a marvellous job and it looks like they will have a great party on Christmas day. Ken Tranter posted on the frontpage a request for a father Christmas suit...as shown on our Members Club anchor page..especially for this occasion, so if anyone knows where he can get one let us know.
Merry Christmas to all the Members and thanks to each individual Member for all the great contributions which are keeping Doverforum running along nicely.
My thanks to Howard too for keeping things running along very well in his new capacity.
Thinks: We've got to have a party ourselves at some point with BuddyG singing...

20:4335558Very best wishes to everyone on here for Christmas and the New year, and thank you for putting up with me. Been a very interesting experience. Not many people about I suspect who don`t watch tv, don`t vote, don`t have a god, don`t read newspapers, don`t listen to the news and have survived for years without it all, and been happy in the process. Many thanks, and good luck to you all, and please make sure the forum doesn`t go the way of alot of other things have in this town. Great idea PaulB.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

On another subject - what time is the dip? and is it on the beach by The Churchill?
Not done it before, but would be fun to try, maybe ?

09:2135613Thanks for that Marek, all the guys will appreciate that Im sure..a lotta work goes on behind the scenes.
BuddyG good luck with your Riverside gig..bet you will go down a treat. Yes as Roger said its 12 noon as I understand it anyway..and crowds build up on the beach from about 11.30. We have seen this grow in popularity in recent years. Last year the top picture we had on the frontpage was a chap with a guitar in the surf. The waves were a bit stronger last year and the sun was shining so it made for some good pictures. The guy with the guitar got top slot as a bit of novelty always goes down well with the media !!lol
Im sure you wouldnt treat your guitar like that Buddy!
