Ukip leader Nigel Farage hits back at 'fascist' hecklers in Edinburgh pub
But he is accused of 'losing the plot' after breaking off an interview on BBC Radio Scotland over
'hatred' in its questioning
Nigel Farage hit back today at demonstrators in Scotland who branded him "racist, Nazi scum"
by describing them as "fascist, deeply racist" and "anti-English".
But the leader of the UK Independence Party was accused of "losing the plot" after breaking off
an interview on BBC Radio Scotland over the "hatred" in its questioning. It emerged that one man
arrested after the anti-Ukip protest is English.

Farrage is on an honeymoon period, just people will protest vote,
he now has to show he has the ability to lead, and of course stay the course.
His party will come under deep scrutiny over the coming months and he cannot afford to make the mistakes he made in Scotland.

agree keith, closer scrutiny will be paid to ukip and nigel farage in particular now they have entered the mainstream, rest assured the other parties will spend a lot of time digging up dirt rather than working on their own policies.

I do think though UKIP should come under closer scrutiny, as they still appear to be a one policy party, the rest they just havn't got there message across on, but some of that is there own faukt as they tend to only speak on immigration

Keith
Lots of things ukip talk on never get past the controlled mead
Remember ukip is funded by the membership ,not the rich ,or big national companies ,or rich unions.
Ukip in the EU parliament have called for the imprisoning of bankers responsible for the mess. No one has been prosecuted for the fraud to this day
I could go on but I need to go sort the green house ;to be continued ;

UKIP is clearly not the party of Scotland, for all that it is called the United Kingdom Independence Party.
Nigel Farage has not known how to speak to the Scots as leader of a Union party. He spoke to Scotland in a looking-down manner, from a high horse from across the Wall, as once Charles I did when he tried to impose the English Prayer book on the Church of Scotland.
For many years, Charles I refused to even be crowned as King of Scotland, in blatant opposition to the Scottish Constitution, being content with the title of King of England.
When he finally decided to go to Edinburgh for the Coronation, the Scots greeted him with joy, but he soon thereafter returned with an English army and tried to impose the English customs on Scotland's Church.
Nigel Farage does not appreciate the Scottish Parliament, he wants to change the status of Scottish MPs as a condition for UKIP rule over Scotland, he wants to make Westminster the administrative capital of Scotland while using English Pub-speeches to ridicule the Scots, claiming Scotland should not expect a bag of money from England in return for independence.
The Scots will never vote for humiliation and scorn.

Nigel Farage couldn't get away quick enough from the Royal Mile, the Scottish Police then drove him out.

actually the blues are treated with similar scorn north of the border alex, so no real surprise.
purely down to the reds and snp, with an interest in the yellows in far flung regions.

Nigel Farage was sent homeward to think again!
He's now on this side of the Wall licking his wounds.

The Scottish people are the same as the rest of the UK; they just want common-sense politics to problems,
This is why the Scottish branches of the ukip party ,will do well in Scotland, despite the labour thugs & Scottish nationalist trying to prevent democratic free speech,

Alex's
What politicians would you like to see in Scotland?
Do you want an independent Scotland or the continued union??
The truth is an independent Scotland will not get English money;
Haw can you condemn the man for spelling out the facts
Just a little bit on Scottish English history .
The Scottish army attacked England, when the English army was in France fighting.
On the return of the English army to England, it's not surprising that the English went and gave Scotland a kicking,
In the UK in the old days, there was a lot of injustice all over the UK,
Agent's all the British peoples , This is why we need a full UK representative parliament.

It would appear that the Scotland wants independence. Ok let 'em have it-it's just another broader form of localism anyhow. Long as they pay for their own health service, benefit system and university fees. The SNP seem to have it sown up -Nigel don't bother with them.
Never give up...

The thing is Richard, you will find none of the English main parties are campaigning for Scottish Independence, and even in Scotland itself only the SNP are campaigning in this way, and are struggling to get the support of the scottish people, this is just the SNP view, not that of the wider Scottish electorate

Farage and UKIP are just a vehicle for people to vent their anger, there is no substance in either to suggest they are able to govern.

it was never the intention of ukip to govern, they were formed purely to force a referendum on the europe issue which they are clearly having a lot of success.
