After having killed this thread dead, don't think that I didn't remember this wonderful proposal regarding the way tenants can change their properties. I looked up the website at the beginning of November and noted that there wasn't anything to look at, oops, the scheme starts for Dover on 17th I note but the website looks good and there were lots of properties in Canterbury and Seveoaks who started before Dover. This put me in a good mood and I was happy to wait for the Dover launch.....

So here I am today after going on the website again to see what fine houses Dover District Council has to offer. I came home and told my husband to get comfortable because we aren't going anywhere. Below I give you the entire list of properties available to council tenants in the Dover District:

2 bedroom sheltered maisonette - Aylesham
    1 bedroom bungalow - Eythorne
    1 bedroom flat - Dover
    2 bedroom flat - Deal
    2 bedroom house - Elvington
    3 bedroom house - Deal

Would someone please tell me just what the heck I'm supposed to do with that!?! I can't remember the last time I was so angry, oh yes I can it was after I was mugged and the council refused to change our locks until we sicced the local papers on them, oh yes and there was the time when Lilith was a baby and the pilot light in the boiler went out in the wind and wouldn't relight and because it was a Friday night the council wouldn't get someone out to put it right so all weekend we had no hot water and no heating, that was fun!!!!
