As you'll see on the UKIP thread, I've just been elected Chairman of our local branch, and am honoured to do so; as far as I am personally concerned, I believe the Prime Minister has made an overtly conspicuous effort to be seen to be handling the economic hardships we all face fairly and manfully. He runs the risk of becoming the most unpopular man in the country within a very short space of time, all because the Labour party left the country destitute.
I believe that British membership of the EU still needs to be addressed properly, in the form of a referendum; it's not as though this is anything new, parties of all colours have been promising the British people this since Vic was a young man, and every time they have reneged on electoral promises. I believe that UKIP and other right-wing votes cost the Tory party an estimated 20 seats at the May election, and therefore an overall majority. Perhaps now they'll take their own disillusioned voters seriously and review the EU referendum. If they don't, more Tory votes will ebb away......
