According the The Sun (OK, yeh, I know....)
A hoodie walked into a JobCentre and was asked to take his hood off. He refused and was asked to leave. He then claimed to be a member of the 'International Church of Jedism'
The result.... he was sent an apology from the JobCentre for failing to respect his religion.
Now, OK, it is in The Sun and may not be a true or accurate story, but in this mad age of insane 'equality' legislation and political correctness it does have a ring of truth about it and no-one would be surprised if it was true.
I await with interest any confirmation of whether this is true or not....
When the census comes around though, I expect I will suddenly find religion myself and put myself down as a Jedi Knight!!!!

It seems it is a true story despite originally being exposed in The Sun.
What a mad, mad world.
Looking at the photo above it would appear that Jedi Knights do NOT need to keep their hoodies up.
On the other hand, would you, as a lowly paid clerk in the Job Centre want to argue the toss with some mad bugger waving a light sabre??
Only one keeps his hoodie up: The Emperor Palpatine:

With the vast amount of hoodies around this very boutique, does that mean Dover is either a centre for all things Jedi or at least a hub of learning the craft?

"Learning the craft" Barry? I hear Snargate Street has an emporium for such stuff, nudge nudge and all that.

Hmmm, so they divest themselves of their hoodies by day to their black suited attire for nightwear, nudge, nudge, wink, wink

Jedism is now a recognised religion as it figured on the last full census.Crazy but true.Top of the list was Islam.

And atheism? Difficult one this, as not many like to stand up and be counted.

The reason people put Jedism down was in a protest at the increasingly intrusive questions. I certainly will do something similar at the next census. The way to force a more sensible, measured and less intrusive approach to the census is for enough people who object to make the findings worthless with nosensicle answers such as Jedi Knight for religion.

i don't think that atheism qualifies as a religion.
religions have to have a deity or god or a selection.
having none at all must mean that atheists do not have a religion.

Sorry Howard, what I was getting at is you can`t have a true poll on religion without the none religious, as it would give an overall false result. Although atheism is of course non religious, it should be an interesting factor in the result to show whether more people are giving up on religion, or changing their religion to another type of religion. Voting labour, conservative, BNIP etc should always show the non voter`s to give an overall picture of it all. Hope that`s come out clear?

I am, apparently, a Druid, according to the census. Would you believe...........

Let's face it - Jedism is just as valid as Christianity, Catholicism, Islam, or any of the others. It's all just a load of stupid fiction that certain people take too seriously.
HA!
I could rise to it, Rick, but I am too tired.....

Not a Jedi myself, I've always been more a fan of the darkside (not the Conservatives)
I couldn't help but photoshop the light sabre as my plastic one let the costume down.
