Kent miners festival

The Kent Miners' Festival is a community festival, that is free to enter, and designed to give many people, groups and organisations the opportunity to give something back to the people from our communities.
This event is about Fun and Sport, History and Heritage, Health and Wellbeing. This is a day for everyone from our communities locally, nationally and internationally to get together, some after many years apart, to meet and remember the past, enjoy the day, and help to keep our Heritage alive for the future.
Stage acts, funfair rides, clowns, acrobats, sport, displays, exhibitions, charities and help with health and social issues. This year will be bigger and better with our new addition of our Future 4 Dogs Animal Festival. Fun for ALL, including animals! They had a very good Jr club then one of the best in kent,turning out very good young boxers all dressed in black and gold.

This years festival is again on the village greens of Aylesham from 10am till 7pm. August Bank Holiday Monday
It is free entry, free parking and will be a fun and entertaining day out with something for everything.
Future 4 Dogs are not attending but we still have a fun dog show with lots of fun awards, so bring along your pooches but please keep them on a lead.
The "Your Health Your NHS" team are with us again this year, Brass Bands, stage and arena activities and much more.

EKR are having a promotional exhibit this year but will be much more involved next year, as we will be joining forces for the future.

We are still trying to get a boxing ring, if we can't the lads will still be their showing off their skills and we have Tug-o- War as well this year.

Our pre-application is just about ready and will be entered shortly.
