SID
I'v been up front and given an open and honest viewpoint.
9 months ago Labour were dead and buried, and the Tories were going to romp home with the biggest majority for some time,
but over the 9 months, Tory gaffs, distrust of OSBORNE, not wanting tories back,
Labour quietly re building, saw in the Guardian the polls showing the tories just 2% ahead, and then the mail followed this story by showing people didnt trust cameron/osborne to run the economy
remember the mail is the anti labour paper, so all looking towards as i said
9 months AGO that the next election will see a hung parlianment.
I'm tempted to say we could even see a labour majority, but at this time I will stick with the HUNG pARLIANMENT , the more likely outcome

the poll of polls still shows a hung parliament with the blues having to beg nick clegg to bail them out.
anything can happen in 30 days though.
much more interesting than the last 3, where we all knew who would win well in advance of an election being called.

PaulB - I am not a single issue voter and Vic can dream but he will end up 4th at best. I have always said that it will be the Conservatives who get us out of the EU.
Keith - I realise that you are trying to keep your spirits up but the 2% lead you refer to was over a week ago and that has grown to 10% more in line with other pollsters. You need to keep up as thing are moving fast.
Howard - be careful about predictions of a hung parliament, most people use the discredited UNS model in those predictions.

barry
i realise that there are constituency differences, i was merely quoting sky news who collated all the polls together.
i promise that the evil, leftist, fifth columnist, commies at the BBC were not involved.
All good stuff. I hope our Forum bosses have got plenty of disk space for the mountain of postings about to explode all over DoverForum. I think deep down we all know this is going to be an exciting election, whatever the outcome. But, whatever our poluitics, let's keep from being personal and remain friends.
Maybe there could even be a cross-party DoverForum Election night party?
