Cleggy has it all to lose, and probably will.

Howard, the Libs have not presented any programme of sorts, I believe most people haven't got a clue what they intend doing. And I think it's too late now for them to be convincing, as they probably don't differ to the Labour and Tories in general. The same kind of programme I think! Watch this sign, Howard, when they speak on TV, one might as well turn the volume down and place the words in their mouths, at random (no offence meant) (Or could it be the public falling asleep!)

i may watch it tonight if the football on channel 5 is no good.

much of the new support for the yellows is from young and new voters, they will not go through the policies with a fine toothed comb like some of us.
they are comfortable with us being part of the eu, perhaps because they do not remember a time when we were out of it.

Personal attacks wont be made by Cameron though he will need to respond in the debate to Clegg, something he did not do in the first one and that is shown to have been a mistake. It is up to the press and bloggers primarily to highlight the LibDem and Labour shortcomings, personal and in policy terms though.
The examination of the consequences of a hung Parliament is also a valid discussion point in the campaign.
People can snootily complain about negative campaigning but it does work. It is also relevant to place policies in the context of what has happened and went wrong in the past.
As for Clegg, he set himself up as something new, clean and untainted in the last debate. That is why it is right for his actions to be scrutinised to see the truth or otherwise of what he was claiming. This is quite legitimate. And what do we find, he is not so squeeky clean and new as he claimed so it is only right that he should be exposed for that.
The problem though Barry is the public feel ALL MP's are lieing cheating rogues filling their snouts at the trough of OUR money. Therefore, to us, one more doesn't make a slight bit of difference.
This time round, probably more than any other election, we want to see policies that are capable of repairing the damage of the last 13 years, and a return to honesty and truth. A tall order for politicians of all colours methinks.

Howard, I believe that until recently, the young people have been brain-washed with e.u. propaganda from Labour, and are waking up! Vic seems to confirm that there is no e.u. support about in the streets, so I take it that many young people do not realise what an evil the e.u. system is, however do not support it either, and on reading more and more about it, will know how to identify a non e.u. agenda party from an e.u. agenda party, and realise that Labour, Conservatice and Liberals are one and the same: e'u' agenda parties. That is why Vic is carrying on the campaign in Dover, to inform people about UKIP intentions.
But still, Howard, if we don't get the e.u. out, someone else will! It won't go on much longer, there are other countries that suffer as we do, over in western Europe. Our Country, as many or all western countries, IS bankrupt, but by twice the annual budget! Germany is even much more bankrupt than that! It's over!

i would agree that the eu institution cannot last in its present state, germany is bailing out greece.
who next?
the poorer eastern european states will say,"you helped out greece, what about us"?
in my view germany will be the first to make serious noises about leaving, certainly wont be us.

I'm not saying you are wrong there, Howard, but as for us, there is no democratic consultation on the part of gov. to find out if the British want to remain in the e.u. or not, and I know that many do not. Still, we do have a debit two times the amount of the national annual budget, and are technically bankrupt!
But yes, you will be hearing before long from Germany.
Brian. Wrong! Read Vic's thread, it has a lot to do with e.u. too!
That is, for those parties who want Britain independent and sovereign.

greese is being bailed out by the eu/imf and not germany,so its been reported.
Voters are not happy with the two main partys , the yellows could take advantage and should take advantage. I dont agree with there views on trident or the child trust fund.
