Thanks for that Ed. Looks like she will be passing through "pirate territory" then.
No chance of them catching up with her though.

Norman Arrow was passing the Channel Islands at midday and is due to arrive at Dover at 1800.
She will enter by the Eastern Entrance and go across to a layby berth on the Prince of Wales.

I would think no as I imagine that they need berthing trials at both ends of the route and probably to employ some staff first
Been nice knowing you :)

I believe she is entering service on 8th June.
She is laying over in Dover tonight and going across to Boulogne tomorrow.
There will be numerous inspections to be conducted by the MCA and their French equivalent, lots of crew training, emergency drills, storing, etc, before she can take up the run.

Norman Arrow's first scheduled passenger service to Boulogne is on Saturday June 6th, so I believe.
It will be doing some burn-ups this afternoon between Dover and Deal, before berthing by the Prince of Wales pier.
My brother Nick (who does the PR for LD Lines) is live talking about the new service on BBC South East at 6.30pm tonight - plug plug!

Photo of Norman Arrow back on the Prince of Wales on saturday, with veteran Saga Ruby in background. Holland America's Rotterdam was also in and have added photo of her as quite an attractive ship and the colour scheme is a bit different from the run-of-the-mill white of most of the other cruise ships visiting.
