Litter...again
- 5 March 2012 12:08157589May I suggest that each and every member here send an email to both KCC and the Highways Agency regarding the appalling amount of litter on the verges of so many roads around our district.
The Gateway to the Garden of England deserves a far better service than turning a blind eye to this problem.

If they deem it the Highways Agency, they will send it on to them.
When GaryC posted his complaint on here, I sent that to Kent Highways (above) and they asked for the location of everything that was wrong; after I had replied to that, they said they would forward the email onto the Highways Agency.
Roger - 5 March 2012 19:24157676I went to a DDC Neighbourhood Partners Forum in June last year where we were told by KCC they were very shortly (they hinted within weeks) going to appoint local co-ordinators who would have a better idea of local problems and goings on and to whom all such releveant problems should be reported.
When we were discussing relevant matters at parish council last month I was told they still hadn't been appointed - disappointing, seemed like a good idea. - 6 March 2012 09:48157768Our Parish Council is holding another Litter Pick Day - there is so much litter again, especially side of the dual carriageway.
A lot of villagers turned out last time and it was very successful.---------------------------------------------------
