Alison Burton is most certainly NOT a Barrister.
She is photographed in a wig, which is the Dover Town Council's.

All I can say is she is listed as a barrister on the site my grandson looked on which (I believe) is not a site that anyone can view.

I have often wondered why she took the post of Town Clerk when in some of her previous jobs she must have earned more. Maybe she just likes the East Kent lifestyle?

Rather a harsh way to refer to the Town Clerk Stu if I may say so.

No Howard I feel there are too many people on here having there two penny,s worth slating the DTC and the people who run it.
Digging up past issues.
I thing the lady does a good job for the DTC. If people are so worried about the town why don't they ask to join the DTC town. What ever they do the are wrong. dammed if they don't dammed if they do. Stop hiding behind a keyboard.

What nonsense, hiding behind a keyboard.
Most of us, quite openly went to the said meeting last Thursday 22nd February.
We wanted straight forward answers. To our questions.
Meeting closed early.
Still no answers.
To current issues etc.

Chris, I was one of the presenters, not clock watching as I stated earlier in the thread, but I left the building at 2020 after conversing with one or two of the people who attended and figured that therefore the meeting must have wrapped up quite close to the advertised 2000 as I only spent a couple of minutes with each of the people that I spoke to.

Interesting question Tez sorry I meant Terry, when Sue mentioned the name of the film maker I thought who?
Logged onto Faceache and found that he was born in Guyana, brought up in Canada and is now in the UK and very interested in our history. Clearly he has done is homework on Dover by making contact with Sue, Ray and Barry from Dover Community Radio.
I think this will be a very intelligent take on the town but I suspect all tickets are gone.

Thanks Neil, I wasn't at the meeting myself but heard the agenda had it set to finish at 7.40 with refreshments until 8. Was just curious if people were finding excuses to moan as usual...

Not sure exactly the time that Pam wrapped up the question session, but am dead certain that it was later than 1940 as I had a missed call from my mother at 1942 (she was in hospital and I'd have taken the call if the Q&A had been finished then and I had no longer been anticipating answering public questions).
