  I have send a email off now, so it is wait and see, but i am looking forward to the next cold spell if i do not get my coat

  I have a response to one of the letters on the forum but do not have access - I was passed the link from a friend. I am the Secretary of Dover Rowing Club and have been asked about the 'missing coat' belonging to Vic Matcham. Could you let him know that I will be down the club this evening for a meeting and have access to the lifeguards hut so will check to see if its in there.   First of all I would like to say how much I enjoy 'dipping' into the forum - if I had more time would love to contribute - my reason for mailing you is that I have a colleague here who would be happy to pop next door from the Lifeguards tonight to see if Vics coat has been found, but I am unable to contact him to let him know. Are you able to pass the message on to him please? If you need confirmation of who I am I am sure that Guzzler will vouch for me.

  Yes it is and a very big thank you to both of them and you paul for your help in this matter and i lookward againto be joined up again with my coat it is a very good one for this weather,I got it some years ago from a mill in Scotland and it is my best coat.

  Talking of coats I have just seen posh Barry walking down the town as his driver has the day off,and he seemed to be sporting a donkey jacket,Barry in a Donkey Jacket but wait....no my antient eyes were playing tricks with me.It was a posh jacket fur lined and with the fur collar,looked like a cat I once had,where did that cat go,just disappeared one day near London Road a couple of years ago.
  He said he had been to that little hardware shop in London Road called Stuff.but I had in good advice that he had been in the Paint and Decor Centre to get some flocked wallpaper for the mansion.
  If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

  One of the ladies mentioned earlier...Jacky, has found a coat of mid brown colour so the chances are its probably yours. Can you email me your phone number so I can pass it on to Jacky.

  i now have my coat, and just in time looking at the weather outside again i would like to thank paul and the rest of you for helping in that matter and the ladys to and one of them even came out in this bad weather to my home and returned it to me, Paul when you see the ladys please thank them for me.

  Ah thats great news Vic..to see yourself and the coat re-united. Well done to the two ladies who obviously did a great job in retrieving it, they acted way way above and beyond the call of duty.
  
  Vic I dont know the ladies myself and dont see them, we've never met, they just read about your plight on here and acted on it. I will email them however to say a well done.

  I have been out in my coat alot this weeks and some of the public who know me have said how nice my coat is,and it just the one for the weather we are having.
  lesley and myself went into the cafe this morning and somone said he would like to buy it, (TRUE).
  but it was a no to that.

  there will be a channel swimming competition next august starting from dover.
  
  this will involve swimmers that are household names.
  
  
  i wonder how many will forget their coats?
