Had a lovely walk today from Dover to the South Foreland Lighthouse. Was a nice vigorating walk with lots of tourists about enjoying the breaks in the cloud.
I would recommend the cafe too
Nice view of the cliff fall

Lovely photos David, thanks for sharing them with us. There are some lovely views up there.
My cousin and his partner stayed at the SF lighthouse a few years ago and we went up there for a meal with them. being able to eat a meal overlooking the channel from way up there was fantastic.
There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".

The lighthouse grounds have now reopened, with the cafe serving take-aways only. NT have very considerately removed the tables and benches in order to thwart the circulation of seasonal respiratory viruses, which, according to the latest scientific consensus, are averse to sunbathing on grassy slopes.
Would anyone know what the green thing in the foreground is?

I believe it's one of those talking / listening things aimed at the children, you whisper in one end and there will be another one somewhere nearby on the site that the other person listens to and they can hear the whisper travelling through the pipe.

Excellent. I did notice another one pointing in the other direction. Will check it out, knees permitting.

The weather not going to be that great for a few days, I am a sun person when it comes to gardening or going out.

That walk is so nice, together with so many of the hills round Dover , and the sea front all good
I do a lot of walking and we are lucky in those walks we can do

It looks like the ivy does not want to make friends with the barbed wire and who can blame it, horrible stuff.
