I do so hope it comes through Dover.
There was an item on the BBC 6 o'clock main news tonight announcing that the torch will visit a large number of towns in the UK.
It didn't say that it would arrive in Dover this time but it did then show footage of the arrival of the torch in Dover for the 1948 Olympics. Hopefully this is a good sign!
This was followed by an interview with Frank Verge, the 1948 torch bearer, in the local news.
Apparently there will be more news on the overnight stops in Kent and Sussex in the local BBC news at 07.25 tomorrow morning.

If they are holding a press conference it sounds hopeful, surely they would not hold a conference otherwise.

Lands End is an interesting start point. Dover is day 65. When will we know of the plans for the day/evening? Who is organising this?

assuming it does come here then the international olympic committee would do the organising, i presume with the support of the district or county council.

In the meantime this may be of interest:-

How does the torch arrive Lands End? Where from? and by what mode of transport?
Do they have a newly constructed Peoples Port there?

It will be something to look forward to , i am one of the many who are looking forward to the olympics , it would be great if the whole country came together for 2 weeks of sport .
