I don't know how many people who walk along the Folkestone Road, read the Forum, but I've just heard from KCC that the pathway from Elmsvale to St. John's Road, is to be levelled and relaid.
This is great news for pedestrians, esprecially when it rains, as even a little drop of rain can give the appearance of flooding, but certainly makes the feet wet of those walking on the pathway.
The work is due to start on the 8th. of September and expected to last for 8 weeks.

you will know this has been ongoing for some time, together and with loads of other interested and uninterested people and agencies campaigns/talks have gone on.
Since leaving the priory forum I did bump into Gordon Cowan(KCC cllr for area) Sheila Amos(Town cllr for area)and some locals together with Kent Highways Alan blackburn.
Although I'm just a pleb now, we did all walk the stretch of the Folkstone Road(not as far as Elms vale)but lots of views were taken on by Mr Blackburn, whom I have always found to be helpful.
He did say then that these works were to looked at.
So well done to everyone who has moved this one.
It has been a hard slog, but one of the things that kept me going was seeing the sewers pipes collapse (or the rd) and the folkestone Road close to St Johns seeing those lower flats flooded and have a nightmare of a time.
Iv never seen so much water, those residents never forgot that day, and then watching in light rain people being unable to use the pavement from the ex mildmay hotel to St Johns Rd because of the puddles and being splashed by passing cars was something that made me say, come on get summat done.
Thanks to everyone, but we don't often praise council officers on here, so thanks also to Alan Blackburn who may or may not read this, but he was a man of his word, well done Alan.

it will be great when completed, all i will need then is the people that dump rubbish outside their premises to be taken to task.
the latest offender is that building on the same side as the shops, that laughingly calls itself a hotel.

the owner of that hotel has been getting away with murder all the time that i have lived here.
remember the muslim "holidaymakers"?
the place looks like it is about to fall down.
you have rightly mentioned no.89.
words fail me on that one.
what does the 7 day notice actually mean in practice?
