The meeting will take place once the required number of signatures (1,600) are obtained surely? Where did you get your information from Howard?

Howard can you ad the link to the top of your post ?
Why didn't asda go on with there plans for Dover ,it transformed Folkestone ?
I don't see a problem with a public enquiry into what's been happening over the years ,,money spent on what
I think its amazing that Dover with 15 million people a year passing by, that Dover isn't one of the biggest money and jobs economies in Kent.
I think any developments needs to reflect the medieval history and charm of an old sae port town ,,the Ostend Bruges Amsterdam injection.
If they can get it right ,why not Dover?
PS . there building a big cinema entertainment project in Canterbury to.

It can run for up to a year Howard, however 1,600 signatures are required and once that figure has been reached DDC will have to hold the Public Meeting....

Howard McSweeney - how strange that you are underwhelmed by the petition - 120 people singed in in the first 5 hours after it was posted on the DDC website - maybe people haven't commented here because they know of your bias !

I have signed. However there are signs of life - I received today a letter from DDC requesting the same legal information I provided them with before Christmas about the land we own in the DTIZ area, with threats of criminal sanctions for not providing the information which they already possess.

Not so bold as to ever rap the knuckles of those who post inappropriate descriptions of their fellow members, Patrick.

Strange coincidence, earlier today I was reading the document on the DTIZ planning application saying you had submitted that information!

Shh Howard, there'll be conspiracy theories starting!
Hadn't spoken to Alan since I moved off the Buckland estate in 1954, though heard all about him from his Dad who used to clean my windows.

the figure of 1600 set by the DDC is a percentage of the population of the Dover District - it is the highest figure that they were allowed to set - it could have been much lower, but obviously they don't want it to go through so they set the highest they can!

Yes Howard, you didn't know the facts, yet you still posted up details based on conjecture...

I think that people should sign this petition - it is only calling for more transparency from the DDC, and that can only be a good thing. Vic I agree with what you say about change possibly setting things back, but unfortunately I also think that the present DDC is going to have to change because of it's ridiculous wasting of taxpayers money and general ineptness - I think local people have had enough.

I do wonder why People coming in with a blow :/ my goodness ME !!!
Patrick, there is no reason to be so impersonal and rude towards Howard.
I have signed the petition too, as I like to know too as many others who live and lived in Dover.
Rudeness I am sure you know Patrick, dont get you anywhere.
I am far from it to criticise you, as I dont know you. Therefore I be more diplomatic than anything else.
I will be watching the number of the e-petition rising and hopefully we all have a clearer picture once the numbers reached. without a doubt they will reach these numbers as there are many many people interested in this.
Thats it.
