I would like to see a new T-shaped promenade pier opposite the RCPYC. There used to be a short one in Victorian times, but much further to the east.

Give it a rest mate Dover has a very long free pier ,and they are not taking the pier down it will have a new use,and then open again with a food outlet to eat and have a cup of tea.

I seem to remember DHB issuing an artist's impression of a narrow T shaped pier supposed to replace the doomed one but no planning application of course.

It's time for you to "give it a rest" in claiming the pier will reopen. Take a look at these artists impressions from the
DHB website and tell us where the public will be able to access your reopened PoW pier - it's not going to happen. There will be a Marina Curve but no details of that have yet emerged, though hopefully they will take notice of the success of the reopened Folkestone Harbour and make something decent out of it.
The T-shaped pier Howard refers to is the new outer wall to the marina, it will be just a walkway with one of the upturned boat shelters at the end of it.

Vic you are not a stupid man so why are you acting like an idiot, even a blind man can see there is no pier, please stop telling everyone to leave/drop/stop going on about it. You've said your piece so allow others to express theirs.

Richard Christian from DHB gave a very good presentation re the future development of the docks at the River Parish Council AGM..From the drawings the pier will be much shorter and curved and as Ray and Howard state completely different to what has been in the past .

Best to tell Tim Waggott so that he can change his plans accordingly.

It's fairly obvious he took no notice.

What happens in two weeks time when the "Disney Magic" sets sail? There is no decent vantage point to see it.

Go to the other pier and stand near it.
