I see a school trip from Guston Primary to Folkestone resulted in an accident when the coach ended up on a roundabout off an A20 slip road.
Fortunately it seems there are no serious injures.
Thank goodness ! I have been listening to Radio Kent all day today, the latest reports say they have been treated for minor injuries...
Have just heard that the brakes failed ! Very lucky that the injuries are only minor...

I see that the coach involved was a Roberts coach. The same company that a wheel from one of their coaches came off on Connaught Hill a few years back and smashed into a car at the bottom of the hill; maintenance issues, perhaps? They do run some old stock, and I'm wondering if their maintenance budget is all it should be....
True friends stab you in the front.

Thank God the injuries were not serious, the amount of incidents involving school trips seems to be on the increase.
I can only hope that the teacher involved has filled in all of the forms as by Health + Safety including what she/he would do in event of a coach crash.

As some of you know I work as a school escort for a local coach company. In the ten years I have worked for this company not one of our vehicles has been involved in any accident whilst taking children to and from school. Our vehicles are checked every single day by a qualified onsite mechanic and if any fault, however small, is found it is rectified at once or taken off the road. Apart from this each vehicle has a daily safety check on seatbelts etc inside the vehicle and they are also cleaned daily. We transport children all over Kent to many different schools and their safety is this company's priority. I have to say that I am proud to work for this company and know that they are trusted by a lot of people.
Incidentally Bob, all our staff are trained on special courses and know what to do in any event which may occur, including accidents and illness. I wish I could name them but am assuming this is not allowed.

Name who Jacqui? Britannia Coaches? Not only a quality Dover company but I gather they are Alexander's favourite coach company too. He mentions them all the time on here.

Hi Brian,
Yes that's probably us - we go up to the end of St Davids Avenue. I'll look out for you and blow you a kiss if I see you

You can't miss us - big white bus with the Britannia logo on the sides!
Terry I do still see you sometimes up London Road but you're always looking the other way lol
Vic, thanks for that, I must admit I've never heard anyone say a bad word about them, only praise.
Brian I just thought - I've got no idea what you look like so you'll have to wave first

Don't worry Jacqui, Brian will make you a cuppa and nip down to the shop with it. Then you can introduce yourslves properly. H would normally go for the dail Torygraph under the arm and rose in the lapel under the station clock, but it's a long way to pogo to Priory.
Actually, if you time the meeting to coincide with the next steam train through Dover it could al,most be our own DoverForum Brief Encounter!
