19:5441387With the wonderful sound of rain pounding down on the roof outside as I write, and the orchestral thunder and lightning as backing, let`s hope we have a pleasant Spring. Lots of lambs about up near the castle today jumping about, and I`m sure you`ve seen your own. March on Monday, which sounds warming in itself.

Well, I did try to get an early Spring on here, a bit late coming with all that snow we had. Anyway, I`ve been outside most of the day scraping off moss and wirebrushing dirt and moss off the path while the other half has been pruning and tidying the garden. It`s been a lovely day, and I see on the yahoo page that snow will be returning to the north of England next Tuesday and Wednesday, so still time for a late British skiing holiday if you fancy one. Hope you`ve all enjoyed your day.

It's a joy to see things slowly turning to the colors they should be.
grass grows by the inches but dies by the feet.

Nice bit of colour there Ian. I got this in the back garden this afternoon. The wife loves her plants.

My daffs aren't doing very well at all this year.
It used to be that you had crocuses and snowdrops, then daffs, followed by tulips and by they time they had died off, it was time for other summer plants; this year we've had crocuses at the same time as tulips and one lone daff.
The primroses look good though.

Always colourful and well looked after down there, I wondered who actually looks after it all, council or DHB?

Amazing how many colours PaulB can get from his potatoe plants!

it is the council colin, but as most of the residents are owner occupiers, they get to pay the bill somehow.
probably a service charge.
always looks nice down there though, a fountain or two would be a good addition, in my view.

Thanks Howard. With all that colour there today, nobody was walking about round there, even though there were a number of people and cars along the seafront.
