07:3136895I've just been out with the dog this morning; the easterly wind that has sprung up overnight really is bitterly cold, very strong and cuts through you like a knife. If you don't have to go out today, don't; if you absolutely have to, put on extra layers. I've never known it so cold.
I imagine the wind must come directly from the Russian Steppes; all I know is that I was frozen solid in the Urals area.
True friends stab you in the front.

09:1336901We have to drive into London as we have friends over from the USA that we are taking to the British Museum. We had more snow overnight here in Essex but London doesn't seem as bad. Won't be leaving it to late to get back home though.

12:3436931Well I have ventured as far as my driveway to rescue the uncollected rubbish .It is so slippery I cannot risk going up the hill to catch the bus .Hopefully my younger son will be here soon .I gather our local Coop is running short of supplies .
He maybe able to get me some more milk and potatoes .The soup is still here .Nigel did not want it .Maybe the whiskey of which I have of plenty would be more appealing .Now you chaps stop the rush

15:3736948Went to work this morning at 04.45, the Sandwich road being passable and again, the Jubilee Way okay on both carriageways, apart from snow blown across it from the field`s. I think the lorry driver`s have taken heed, as I`ve hardly seen any either side of the A2 or M20 all week.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

17:1536953Here in the south west of france it has been snowing since last night, about 3 or4 inches already. Only the main roads are salted so I have put the chains on the car to go into town. We are much less prepared for the snow than you in the UK and there are already a few cars that have slid off the road. Luckily it is saturday and most people can stay at home. It is forcast to keep snowing until sunday night so i don't know how much will fall.
I am hoping that it will be clear by the end of january as I am planning to come back to dover ( hopefully to go to the winter ale festival in february. Maybe see you there.)

He shook me hand, and went on his way back to his house.

17:5236957 lol! Keef Ive made reference to this major meeting of great minds on the frontpage! I also saw that young Brian Dixon fella who has one heck of a flu bug, coughing and wheezing all over the place.
Yes best for people to stay home at the moment...wot with ice and flu bugs and guys waylaying a chap in Marks and Spencer while he's getting his Pot Noodles!lol
