which king of england when on his last legs, was told to recuperate in bognor?
i can never think of his name, but will never forget the retort "bugger bognor".

In 1928 King George V went to Bognor to convalesce after a serious illness. Although he actually stayed at Craigweil in nearby Aldwick, Bognor was given the title "Regis" (of the King) in 1929. Despite the Kings now famous remark "Bugger Bognor" the Royal Family in fact liked the town, Queen Victoria referred to the town as "dear little Bognor".

referring back to that old anglo saxon word, churchill in his very late years was at a dance with his wife.
he spotted a good looking young man that was only dancing with much older ladies.
he commented to his missus that he should be carousing around with a young lady, his wife said he was not on the look out for a wife, undettered churchill went on about it until his wife whispered something in his ear.
"i see" he retorted "b*ggers can't be choosers".

The reason you probably didn't get your email was because you appear to have changed your surname Vic

07:595570I have been going into the \peoples republic of Aycliffe for some years now, and no, Priory still has the magic, its all about time, I decided the projects I wanted to continue with(think thats reasonable)and less time consuming.
We have as you know volunteers in priory who work there socks off for the area and we should be proud of them.
But i had 25 years at it and need to move on.
but priory will prosper under these volunteers and long may they continue ,,,,,,,,,,,,
