Ok you have all gone stark raving bonkers, have you seen how seriously some of them take these dragon boat races.
Pre-requisite you have to be steeming drunk without the Regatta Core Group finding out - check
Sorry guys will be on the sea front helping out Gill et al, but I will definately cheer you on
Have to say this really made my day - cant wait to see you all in your wet suits.

16:3965485 Down there about 08.30 this morning, and managed to help Jeanette, Andy Cooper and wife Michelle a little bit. A rather dull start before the rain appeared. This is the first time I`ve been to this event, so can`t comment on crowd numbers with other years. Must have seen or met half the known forum down there today. Hope David H above is right about better weather tomorrow for all. Nice to have a natter this morning with all the forumite`s at the stall above, including Terry Nunn, Vic (and wife Lesley), Ross, Guzzler, Humphy and last but not least, Jeanette and Andy. Come back on the forum soon Andy, you`re sadly missed mate.

16:4865487 Plenty of those large Newfoundland dogs about. I did take a number of images today of everything going on, but I shall refrain from placing anymore on here, as it maybe sunnier tomorrow, and someone will sure to have some brighter picture`s.

you can be such a meanie sometimes, all you had to do was build a brick extension to your house and that poor deprived little girl would have had a pet.
not much to ask is it?

20:4165509Attendance at the Regatta might have been down but there were plenty of visitors in the shop today. Luckily they spent money as well but mainly books and videos so not a great increase in takings.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

07:4365534A great event and the organisers have to be congratulated. My sister enjoyed it enormously - she was born here but has lived in Cape Town for 50 years and comes back too infrequently. The dogs were very special.
I am sure the weather had a lot to do with the numbers but today Must be fine as the Hannent clans are gathering for a family lunch - outdoors!
