18:4636725Mesmorising last 15 overs.
Why do we do it?
Do we really need Pietersen?
I think not.

18:4936726many people think that at the moment, just as they consider dropping him he will score a match winning 150.
people like him and flintoff sell tickets, we just have to put up with their bad days.

19:0136731that has always been a criticism of kevin pieterson(the team player bit).
i seem to remember the ashes series before last in the final test he batted out the final day in an uncharacteristic matter to win us the ashes.
with flintoff he just changes the whole mood of a test match when he comes out to bat.
one hour of him and the opposition are demoralised.
that can be with the ball in his hand too.
don't forget paul, people like those two ignite interest in the game from youngsters, just like ian botham did years ago.

19:1636737Howard , I agree you need the charisma. My grandsons love Freddie [Dad is a Lancashire fan] and have started coaching sessions at the Kent indoor coaching centre. One is 7 and the other 12. Sessions very friendly and not expensive. They don't really do cricket at schools these days.

19:2436740Well it is very good to see us talking about sport,But I am a boxing fan myself but with that also we are doing well in the world. The U.K. is the home of all the big sports, cricket, football. boxing etc. we did have a bad time of it for years, but it is all coming back.

06:3836768KP is not a team player; a maverick that can be brilliant at times, he can win matches single-handedly but the downside is that he sometimes seems to be not pulling his weight. I believe that he's simply out of nick at the moment, and that can happen to anyone. However, team management needs to be firm with him and ensure that he either becomes a team man or his place is in jeopardy; perhaps the fear of losing his place may spur him on to getting his mind set back in place.
The indoor facilities at the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury are second to none, a genuine asset to Kent cricket at all levels. Your grandchildren will get all the help they need there, Paul, to play the game at whatever level they're good enough for; what they need is to get into a strong youth club, and I would recommend Deal Victoria & Barns Close Cricket Club in Walmer as the club with the best set up for kids cricket in the area. Their facilities are head and shoulders above anything else any other clubs locally can offer for colts cricket.

08:5436771Thanks, Andy. The eldest is at Manwoods and awaiting joining Sandwich's junior section. Deal has two healthy cricket clubs with first class facilities. Just hope the amalgamation of the two secondary schools does not affect the future of the Walmer site attached to Walmer School.
