Really please to hear we will be able to sea the boat on Sunday because we are working tomorrow. What time on Sunday?

Brian: you're right of course, meant Prince of Wales pier.
The boat will be staying in the marina, so we plan to take her out into the harbour as soon as the sea gate opens and then paddle her around for as long as we can. Probably anytime between 10am and 2pm will be a good time to see her in action.

And here are some more shots of the boat being tried out yesterday on Faversham Creek. It was one of those days that reminds me what a great job I have!

Some pics from PoW pier with Sea Safari boat in attendance as safety escort.
It was certainly hairy for them getting round the end of the pier but showed its seaworthiness, even on a reduced scale. You might make out the hairy one from Time Team in the first pic.

Great pictures, my thanks to Brian and Ray.
I wonder if those on the Costa Pacifica realised how lucky they were to witness such a historic event.

A great day for all concerned and for Dover's long and ancient seafaring heritage! Those boat builders 3500 years ago: they knew how to build a seaworthy craft alright!
And great pics by Brian and Ray. Here are a couple of mine. Hope to go out on her myself tomorrow and get some pics from inside the boat.

Some more pictures taken today by me, this time from inside the boat. I would have taken more but a wave sloshed over the prow and drenched me and my camera!

I wonder how much that approach to Dover has changed? Looks like this remarkable achievement may be on TV, any idea when if that is the case?

The approach has changed a lot! Those piers create a lot of currents!
Meridian were filming us on Saturday. This may go out on their bulletin tomorrow I hope. The Time Team special will air some time next year, although not even their producer knows when yet. As soon as I know I'll post details here. Should be a good watch!

Don't know how long the link will work, but here is the piece by Meridian that went out this evening. A very good bit of coverage I thought!

Thanks for all the support everyone, it means a lot to all of us involved, especially when it comes from Dovorians.
We've set up a Flickr group where people can view lots of pictures about the boat. If you are on Flickr you can also add any photos you may have of the boat. Please do, we'd love to see them!
