Would be interesting to take a picture of 3 people at that angle, in front of a window, with someone behind, and moving round until they reflect as they do in this picture. Nice thought of a ghost, but easily explained.

One for Jeane perhaps.

They are Chefs at the Oil Mill Barracks NAAFI which is where Hammonds Garage is now
Been nice knowing you :)
Chefs? Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would you eat something prepared by those three? The scariest set of cooks I ever did see.

Must agree with you there Sid. I wonder if there are any surviving police records of missing persons from that period?

Just a shame the three scaries weren't Police chefs. Denied us the chance to make Irish Stew jokes.

A big party last night at the Dover Harbour Board club at Whitfield, for all former paper mill employee`s. It was packed, and so nice to meet freinds from years gone by. A number I hadn`t seen for over 20 years or more. I won`t fill the thread with picture`s as I did take a few, but the Dover Art`s Development were there both filming and taking picture`s. A great shame that les incompetent french took over the mill and destroyed a way of life, and left us with that current gutted `shell`A great night out.

I was in the pleasant company of the Dover Arts Development group this afternoon, after another nice morning strolling round Deal. They were running all my cine film`s through while I identified all the various employee`s on them, many of whom are now no longer with us, (dead). While I was up there, I mentioned this forum to the lovely Joanna Jones who then found us on her laptop, as nobody there had heard of us, but they have now and she found it all very interesting. I`ve recieved a nice email tonight from Clare Smith, another member of the art`s group, who sound`s most impressed with us. The group will be releasing a dvd possibly next February entitled `WATERMARK`, which will contain old cine film from 1970 onward`s, photograph`s dating from pre WW1 onward`s, employee`s memories and much more. If you`re looking in Joanna or Clare, thank you, and your DVD is sure to be a sort after item.

Sorry Howard, I confused things a bit there. I came back to Dover after Deal this morning to meet the DAD group, who are based here.
