Festive films to get you in the mood

GET into the Christmas spirit this year with a festive film.
As well as being home to the pantomime Peter Pan, the Marlowe Theatre Arena will be turned into a cinema for a limited season.

The films start on Tuesday, December 15 with the classic It's A Wonderful Life, starring James Stewart. This is followed by Star Wars - A New Hope; White Christmas; The Muppets' Christmas Carol; Home Alone; A Nightmare Before Christmas; ET - The Extra Terrestrial; The Empire Strikes Back; Edward Scissorhands; The Wizard of Oz; Mary Poppins and Return of the Jedi.
Canterbury's Festive Cinema is the idea of George Wood, who was behind the successful Screen on the Green films at St Augustine's Abbey this summer.

Tickets for the arena films are £7.50 for adults and £6.50 for children. For dates and times and to make a booking, call the Box Office on 01227 787787 or go online to www.newmarlowetheatre.org.uk.

The Marlowe Theatre Arena is a fully heated, theatre tent at the former Kingsmead coach park (opposite Sainsbury's). Please note there is no parking at the arena.
