16:3791007What is the Pledge. Well i will tell you.
The aim of the EU Referendum Pledge is to give the British people the opportunity to decide in a referendum whether Britain remains a member of the European Union or establishes a new type of relationship.
Who is behind the Pledge, coming from me you will be thinking it is UKIP.Sorry"Wrong"
Our campaign is made up of thousands of people drawn from all walks of life, different backgrounds and who support a variety of democratic political parties.
We are united by a belief that the British people must be consulted directly about Britain,s relationship with the E.U, the most important political question of our time.
You can log into EUPLEDGE.COM
The simplest way for you to support this call for this vital EU Referendum is to add your name to the thousands already signed up. do this by visit
www. eupledge.com and add your name yourself.
Please do it today. Thank you.

16:5891009I certainly would support such a referendum but the timing must be right. My concern is that if the timing was wrong the yes vote would scrape it and we would be lumbered deeping in the EU poo than ever.
Perhaps the timing is right. Read this for a Conservatuve view on this.

20:4891061Vic, I signed that pledge early in 2010 online on the UKIP website, almost a year ago.
Last December I had a request from UKIP heaf-office to deliver leaflets for the pledge, but the campaign was later called off. The UKIP head-office informed me that I would have been the only person in Dover delivering leaflets, as only I had volunteered to distribute them here.

21:2591067All I can tell you is I first saw this at the dinner on Monday.I have never been asked to take them around from door to door. The campaign has never been called off and as i said please go to their webb side and sigh it,I would just like to point out that I am the chairman of UKIP in Dover and I have avery good working branch,if you read anything that is not from us then it comes from outside the branch,so I would know nothing about it.

22:2791083If you go now to the House of commons live right now they are voting again on the EU referendum yes to stay in or no to come out but also they are voting in a clause 11 .I must point out this was at committee stage and Clause11 was voted in by 295 to 65 so I think that means now that it goes forward to the full house of commons to see if the public will at long last get the referendum. I wait to see what Barry has to say about it ,I might have got it wrong.

23:0991089The pledge campaign of UKIP to leave the EU has not been called off, but it seems that the distribution of leaflets campaign has been called off, which is what I was refering to above.
I had received an email in early December from Mr Nuttall MEP to disitribute the leaflets, on the grounds that I had signed the UKIP petition for Britain to leave the EU in early 2010.
I recently received another email from the UKIP Pledge office to ask more people to sign the pledge. I have received several of them over the past few months. I sent Vic a copy of the Pledge by email in early December 2010, using the standard copy that the UKIP Pledge office had sent me together with the request to send a copy by email to any people I may know who might be interested in signing it and then forwarding it with their address and signature back to the UKIP Pledge office.
So Vic got his copy nearly two months ago.

You are right this post should be on the UKIP thread but Vic has probably noticed that a lot of us no longer read the UKIP diatribe so he has to seek publicity elsewhere.

14:1791161The pledge for an EU referendum is a UKIP campaign. I got the first email from the UKIP Pledge for an EU referendum head quarters on 14 November 2010. This morning I checkedmy email box, so I know!
