Gary
I don't have a problem with the local MP as a man , he has dune a lot of good on tax evasion, and he's been condemned for it internally.
If he wasn't helping to prop up this banker manipulating scum government he would probably be ok.
Its not personal with me ,I see the bigger picture ,we are embarking on a massif expansion in the south east , jobs will have to be priority number one jus keep the lid on !
The sonwdown site will have to be part of this regeneration, it's a big site ,I don't think your project is big enough, for what will be required employment wise .
But I am not condemning you for trying.
The strike was 28 year ago ,BUT the end game of this is only about to happen.
The Tories destroyed one of the biggest safest uk energy reserves, this is the true criminality of Thatcher ,not the sacking of innocent hard working men.
when this country eventually falls over because of lack of generating capacity, and its getting near to this time now , the miners need to be there with the facts, to chuck sh... all over them ,and holed the Thatcher loving fools to account.
Hopefully it will sink these short term ,quick buck fools for good.

Keith.
The truth
I can fully understand that you and other ex-miners, cannot understand why I, as an ex miner, would work with tory MP's, councillors etc.
I can also understand that some ex-miners, could never ever consider talking to these same people, for whatever reason and I respect their decision not to do so. I can understand that way of thinking because that was me only a few years ago.
However, when I got involved with the "apprentice scheme" at EKR, we needed help and support and Charlie offered his support.
He asked to meet with me, several times, before I eventually agreed to meet with him but only with the understanding that we only talked about help in our community and that we never talked politics.
He agreed and I am very pleased to say that I have no regrets working with Charlie or the many other tory councillors and individuals that I have worked with on several other projects.
Taking this step, with leaving politics out of the equation, has allowed me to see. a very different side of a cross section of people, who can come together and make a difference for our communities.
I felt that giving some of our local lads a future by getting them off their backsides and into employment, was worth working with anyone who wanted to help and I will continue to work with anyone in the future.
However again.
You do not need to remind me of how thatcher destroyed our communities, I am fully aware of that fact and I am doing something about that.
When the time comes and it will come soon, I will have my other hat on and I will be well in front of you, with a bigger bucket of sh-t than yours and I will make sure non of it is wasted.
You asked me why my comments to you were antagonistic.
During the strike all miners where disgusted and hurt to be called the "Enemy Within"
Your comment "but unfortunately your only ever listened to if your up Tory ass" was uncalled for and wrong.
