By way of a bit of light summer relief...where is this?
I spotted it recently and took a picture. I remember a short time ago I took a picture of that golden yellow field and marker over near Deal and I asked where it was by way of a bit of a picture quiz, and to my amazement Scotchie got it straight away.
Try this one chaps and chapesses...any ideas?

I must admit that I love pointing the bear out to parties of walkers as we go through the town. It still surprises me the number that have never noticed it or forgot its location between walks.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

You have to look up. Counting the charity shops can get depressing but looking upward makes you remember that there are still examples of some fine architecture in the town.

quite right chris.
the same thing applies to most town centres in this country.
there was a move afoot to convert the tops of shops into flats, so that the town centres would be inhabited after the shops close.
there has been a start here.

In search of hidden architecture around Dover that sounds like a good brain teaser.

Here's a clue...it's high above a, now empty, Welsh sounding named shop..????.
I look forward to seeing a photo...I'll buy the first photo poster a drink at the Regatta this coming weekend.

I thought Steph's clue was a bit blatant.

Well Done Andrew, I wonder what the history is behind the statue of the bear, does anyone know? Maybe there was a furriers or bear-baiting accoutrement shop there once or possibly a busby supplier to the Welsh Guards
