11:4813798Wayhey!! break out the brown ale...Dover has just seen its first plank of wood washed up. Ive just seen a council clean-up guy retrieving said item from the beach below Millers(eastwards). Halleluhah! Whether or not any more will arrive on the rough sea remains to be seen, but it doesnt look like we'll get a bumper crop of firewood. Well it would keep some of the homes warm around Dover all being well if it did arrive.

12:2213805I would think if it was going to wash up anywhere round here it would be under the lighthouse near St Maggie's. There's still wood down there from the last lot that washed up.
I doubt many will be very keen in salvaging it from that spot though....imagine lugging it all the way up those twisted steps!!
I know a million ways to always pick the wrong thing to say

16:2913839lol!! Vic
good one !
I thought I saw another plank earlier but its not there now so someone must have had off with it. I see however too totallydaft windsurfers right now..yes they are doing it in the teeth of a howling gale ...windsurfing that is! and not a plank in sight!

22:2313965Gary if a fisherman caught a plank the EU would make him put it back.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!
