Keith, what are you on this morning?
Roger, Howard and Sid have all made their points in a very clear and concise fashion. Nobody is talking about sending anybody back ( although, personally, I can think of many that should get the boot! )
Furthermore, on the immigration question, to say that "I accept at times labour didnt help" must be one of the biggest understatements you`ll ever make! The Labour party`s record on opening the floodgates is second to none.
I don`t think the immigration problem is difficult to solve, it`s just that for some obscure reason the people in Government don`t seem to have the will to do anything about it.
Surely the answer is fairly simple. We allow in those that we need and want. Those with a criminal record are not accepted and those already here that commit crimes are deported swiftly. Those claiming "asylem" should be granted it in the nearest "free" country to where they originally lived and not "fast-tracked" through umpteen different countries to the UK.
Certain people like to call UKIP an "extreme" party, but to me our policy on immigration is just common sense.
this thread has been going for far to long.
Why add to it then?
trying to get my point accross to which im allowed.
I take your point Melissa, but it would be advantageous just to know exactly WHY you think this thread has been running for too long?
John, it's because us blokes like to chat politics and wind up Vic/Andy (where is Andy? We miss him) etc., that this thread has lasted so long. Melissa is just expressing her girly view that we should really be chatting about pecs, handbags and shoes!
Liked the ideas expressed in #1021. Thanks,

They were my thoughts also Sid, but I wasn`t brave enough to suggest them!

I have already said why Andy is not posting anymore on the Dover Forum and Melissa thank you for your post on this, but as you can see with over 13000 views and over 1000 postings i think it will on on right up to the locals next year.
Someone mention handbags????????
Vic, I know that. I just miss Andy's contribution on many of the threads running and would like to see him return.

16:3064776Ho folks! Talking about immigration, I thought I'd illuminate a few on the Forum, precisely: I found out that on my Suite 101 article "Britain's light-tower Church in Dover' is a link to Charlie Elphiske's Blog.
Pleasently surprised to see his link on my article, I then informed myself and found out that Charlie Elphiske campaigned (and got elected) calling for a stop to mass immigration, for a no! to building thousands of new houses, as these would go to mass immigrants, and that he considers our Country to be conjested without the need for more immigrants. Also, he laments that every year hundreds of thousands of immigrants add to Britain's population.
I wanted therefore to ask certain forumites to stop the constant bullying of UKIP members and to go and read Charlie's link, and realise THAT HE GOT ELECTED by Dover's vast majority on a number of issues including the tackling of immigration.

17:1664780lost me a bit alexander(not for the first time), there is no constant bullying of anyone here let alone ukip members.
people who disagree or ask questions are entitled to do so.
people attack the views of blue and red party supporters, just part of politics.
