  that is not enough barry, it appears that the back benchers want what most of the country wants, but the leadership thinks otherwise.
  
  i doubt whether it will be an election issue, most people do not vote on such things, the problem is that the backbenchers will probably go to heel because an election is looming, then afterwards try to overthrow the leadership.
