    we have not ratified anything brian, politicians throughout europe(old and new) have pushed things through.

    any country out of the 27 can elect to come out whenever it likes, i think it would be nice if we were the first.
    my personal forecast is that it will be one of the east european states, when they find out that the freebies run low, a second choice would be denmark or the republic of ireland, purely because their geographical positions mean that they are never in the centre of things.
