Welcome to the New Letters Page. Its a bit lonely in here just Chris Tutthill and myself. Many thanks to the 'young man at the coalface' Chris Tutthill for building this for me in fine style. Ah he's a star so he is and highly recommended. See details below in the grey ghost logo for Whyte Studio.
Membership is open to regular users of the Letters Page. As its a letters page can you please use your name or abbreviation of same as your username when joining ( rather than a pseudynom). As we are widely read around town and by the powers that be, it is useful for others to make out if its a responsible Letter and will help add weight to what you say when relevent people read it.

remind me paul, why have things moved from a letters page to a letters forum?

Hi Howard, the idea is to give it more structure with the topics. A number of people told me they found the other way somewhat chaotic and they didnt find it easy to follow, so here we are for good or ill...hopefully it will all be okay.

Hi Paul,
I agree with you on this, a much better and clearer layout - well done to you and Chris x
There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".
I am here

Thanks Paul for sorting my technical hitch

Nice to see all the old names again, obviously got nothing else to do!
Will try and be there Thursday, free food might be the deciding factor.

Hello everyone. I have been " lurking" and reading the local news from Dover since the old forum finished. I wish you the best of luck with this new format. No deletions in 102 pages IS good, everyone seems to be playing the game correctly.
I see a site has been anounced for the lorry park, to eliminate operation stack, near sellindge. Space for 3000 lorries. Is this big enough? I remember when I worked in Townsends freight office in the 80's we would have queues on the A2 some nights almost to canterbury.

I am feeling some what better this morning and I am hopeing with my wife to come tonight it will only be about 1 hour.
I am reading in the letters that some of you do not like me doing my life story, I have said this before if that is the feeling of most of you on the Doverforum that I will stop doing it, so if you are one of them and you are going tonight please come up and talk to me about it, I am just writing my life story because I am now over 65yrs old and have had a very full life of ups and down like most of you and all I am doing is sharing that with you some of you have know me of 30yrs now,and later on you will be part of the story, first I will have to aske you if I can use your name but I might not get that far we will have to see how you feel about me carrying on with it.
Well done to the Doverforum for this new letter page the layout is very good.
I remain yours faithfully
Cllr Vic Matcham of the River P/Council
