Not sure given my partners health problems that we will make it up to the heights, though we will certainly try to get down to the seafront over the weekend

Ian, great picture`s mate, and as you say, a very colourful event. Well done Paul et al. The only forumite I met was Vic.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

Thanks all, it didn't look that busy at times, but we had over 900 paid customers through the door with more just enjoing the free bits of the day.
Tomorrow has event more going in with a lot more re-enactments and displays, and the free bus from the Rolls events on the seafront.

it was a bit quieter than last year, but tomorrow has the complimentary bus service from market square.
don't be put off by the rain that we may wake up to on the morrow, should die out around midday leaving time to see the fly past then shooting up to the heights.

I am still hoping to get up there today but Paula has a family problem and my priorities have had to change. Fingers crossed. Glad to see you had a good day Saturday.

A great experience, but it's a shame the intelligentsia have already been up there with the spray paint.

We are pleased to say that we had 1850+ paying visitors into the Drop Redoubt this weekend which is 50% up on last year so thank you all for coming up to support us. The money will be spent back on the work of WHPS and building on what we can do next year.
We were very fortunate to have received a grant from the Kent Community Foundation Grassroots scheme which helped towards the costs of the weekend
Good to see quite a few forumite up there too
