    Roger - it seems the Minister concerned is Lord West who obtained 66:1 odds. Political Betting recon it was a spread bet. I am not an expert on betting, I dont do it myself, but I understand that he was betting on the number of seats labour would lose at the election.

    Lord West of course was brought into Government as one of Brown's gimmicks when he assumed the Premiership. He is not a dyed in wool 'Labour man' as such but, nevertheless he is a Government Minister.
