  The Conservative web-site doesn't have words like scumbag on it and although Barry does use articles from the Tory web-site, he can more than think for himself and use his own arguments - very strongly.
  
  It was his disgust of how our troops are treated, which I think all normal thinking people also feel, that caused him to call them scumbags - it wasn't at any individual - but the body responsible.
  
  Most of the objections have been made by Labour voters/supporters and Barry is a Conservative, so I think there is more than an element of politics involved in this grumble about that word.
  
  I too think it is disgusting the way our troops are treated and I don't know what appropriate word to describe the "apparant" contempt the current government have for our soldiers, sailors and airmen.
