Manor Rise, looking towards Manor Road - the new build in the foreground - when new was a dog owner like us and we would walk over the hills together - the White House on the corner was from memory the local Co-op store! My old house is obscured by the house to the left of the newer build - sorry too much information!

Interesting slice of history Ian where I was brought up every street corner had a shop, grocers, greengrocers, off licences, sweet shops, paper shops, chippies, cobblers - never needed to go the High St for day to day needs. I done a revisit about 15 years ago and only one shop remained out of the original 12.
Another in Dover.

Correct Darren bit of a smart move on their part - Folkestone Road Dover to Dover Road Folkestone. No need for new stationery, just a biro to draw arrows. This one is in Dover district.
