2 February 2009 23:5214599David, my wife was only saying earlier that you don't hear cars with snow chains anymore. Many years ago when I was "on the road" I always had chains in the van just in case in the winter. Ah, and then there the was the old dodge of keeping a cwt sack of coal in the boot to give better traction, but that is going back a bit!

I made it to Connaught Park yesterday afternoon, so here is a picture of Fifi and Saskia building a snowman. Almost always the lethal wet type and sometimes less is more as far as dangerous driving conditions are concerned - just enough to skid on, or worse still patches of snow which take oyu by surprise when you thought the road was clear.
