David, my wife was only saying earlier that you don't hear cars with snow chains anymore. Many years ago when I was "on the road" I always had chains in the van just in case in the winter. Ah, and then there the was the old dodge of keeping a cwt sack of coal in the boot to give better traction, but that is going back a bit!
I made it to Connaught Park yesterday afternoon, so here is a picture of Fifi and Saskia building a snowman. There were lots of kids having fun in the snow bobsleighing down the slopes and having a great time. Fifi absolutely loved it!
Absolutely right about the type of snow we get here. Almost always the lethal wet type and sometimes less is more as far as dangerous driving conditions are concerned - just enough to skid on, or worse still patches of snow which take oyu by surprise when you thought the road was clear.
