it was 17 signatures yesterday morning before the article alerting everyone of this increase was read across the country.
why wouldn't you sign your name? do you live in fear that they would cut your benefits? or what is it all about?

The annual rises are set in stone so any petition is pointless, I do sympathise with those who have no choice but to use the railway.

Strange i thought most people were aware of it back in August when it was all over the front pages?
To be fair if I was on benifits do you think I would be bothered that some one who has a job in London has to pay more for the train?
As i may only travel to the city 2-3 times a year, truthfully i really don't care.

why wouldn't people who get benefits have sympathy for those who actually work so they can get their benefits?
how about that?
and you could vote for it just so rich don't get richer and poor poorer??
especially when their service is a complete mess!

So stockbrokers should have their daily commute from Guildford to the City subsidised by shelf stackers on a minimum wage in Hartlepool who never use the train?

#8
Point 1, I refer you to #3,
Point 2, rich people getting richer normally equates to paying more taxes, employing more staff, spending more on leisure, extensions, landscaping, Christmas bonuses (I had cracker [pun intended] this week) etc, etc, etc,

Taxpayers are already heavily subsidising the train operating companies so maybe the shelf stacker is being screwed.

do you seriously think that ONLY stockbrockers use trains to go to the city?????
I am going to live in Dover soon and I am just another artist who has a job to be able to get by and I admit, I am disappointed to read the things you are writing here...

And watching RT today from Paris live it's not a very pretty sight when he/she realises that!

I don't think he realised that at least 90% of Forumites are either claimants or pensioners.

3.2% in the inflation figure the rises are based on.
3.1% is an average.
