Social Media is not some benign tool waiting for us to use it to our advantage - silicon valley may have set out with that in mind but the lure of mega profits from selling their users attention to the highest bidder has turned it into a malign influence on too many people, it is also designed specifically to be an echo chamber and reinforce your thoughts and preferences.
People need to wise up and realise how they are being used and influenced.

All de Pfeffel's marriages are marriages of convenience, whether it be to women, to colleagues, to policy, to ideas, or to ideology. The Conservative Party is the religion through which he practices these polygamously self-serving unions.

I see the ridiculous "de Pfeffel" is still being used.

A quick interruption of the Brian versus Keith show.

So Boris while self isolating can conveniently now choose who to be in virtual contact with, so much easier than face to face in a room.

Having been around politics , and working closely with local activists I can see how you misunderstand the situation.
You post out of hope , not reality and I understand your frustration.
