    Kim Jong-un's use of 'dotard' appears to have resulted in a spike in searches for the word in online dictionaries. It's not new to me, nor its associates 'dote' and 'dotage'. Generational perhaps. But there are also some suggestions that the original Korean phrase was somewhat loosely translated and that a more accurate rendering into English would be 'lunatic old man' or 'old beast lunatic'. So I suppose you could say that diplomacy prevailed in the end...
