I think Trump is returning to his default policies on foreign affairs.
his military advisers talked him into staying in Afghanistan and entering the Syria mess?
I think now it will all be about resources to America's southern borders and big reductions in all other regens except the south china seas.
and the wild card for me is, I predict a patriotic internal American currency linked to gold ??

Except that by far the biggest route of drugs into the US is by sea, not land, those that do go by land the vast majority is taken through border checkpoints as trump well knows.

Change my earlier description of him to spoilt child.
"Asked on Friday about the hardship faced by federal employees either furloughed or working without pay while the showdown over his demand for a wall continues, he claimed support, saying such workers were “in many cases the biggest fans of what we’re doing”. In a tweet last week, however, Trump claimed most workers “not getting paid are Democrats”.
Both parties continue to seek to avoid blame for the shutdown. In a meeting at the White House last month, Trump said he would be “proud” to take responsibility for it. He has since tried to blame Democrats, who have not shifted their position."

I must be mistaken but I'm sure he said that the Mexicans would pay for it. Believe me.....

Obviously, it goes without saying, he meant New Mexicans...

Difficult to see where he goes from here as he seems intent on making a bigger prat of himself each passing day.

“We have defeated Isis in Syria,” Donald Trump tweeted in December, “my only reason for being there during the Trump presidency”.
Today he's going to hit them 'hard' and from 'many directions' as well as threatening to 'devastate Turkey economically'!

Starting the long overdue pullout from Syria while hitting the little remaining ISIS territorial caliphate hard, and from many directions. Will attack again from existing nearby base if it reforms. Will devastate Turkey economically if they hit Kurds. Create 20 mile safe zone....

Benefits of not building a wall...the writing will never be on it for Mr Trump.

After a month of 800,000 people working without pay(many resorting to soup kitchens) plus a lot of inconvenience all round he still doesn't get his way.

Common sense at last by the man who was not struggling to survive in his luxury lifestyle. I sometimes think he really believes he should be the new dictator of all USA decisions.

In a blistering opening statement, Cohen branded Mr Trump a "racist", a "conman" and a "cheat".
Shocked!
