If Reg or any other PC, TC or CC councillor, cannot or refuse's to work with his/her opposite, then they are not doing what they have been elected to do and that is to serve their communities for the good of everyone.
Why single Reg out for doing what he is elected to do?
Plenty don't

Keith S and Gary C , I understand your point about working with other parties for the good of the community and I am sure Reg or even Keith has done it..It is a fact that when you are elected, you are a servant of the people, whoever they are.....Why did Brian Henderson not say that ...Mr Henderson stated in his letter this week,,that Reg Hansell is a Political Ally of Charlie Elphicke......No one has refuted Mr Hendersons' allegation including Reg Hansell ....Answers please....Why would Labour Party member,Brian Henderson make this allegation??

from the little i know of mr henderson he does make allegations of a trivial matter against others, i suspect this may fit into the same category.

I have answered this many times will try again
of course its best mr ripley continues to deflect away from talkling about useless UKIP but i will answer anyway,,,,,,,,,,,,
As gary c says and even peter R agrees cllrs/interested people work together in the interests of the community
no matter who they are.
In that instance the MP has some influence(whether they use it or not)and reg is quite right to use every method possible in the interests of the community.
now moving to mr henderson, he is as iv said a passionate socialist, and from my meetings with him he hates tories full stop.
now, i'v always believed that to work together wherever you can gets better results, and this often happens at KCC and DDC
the other reason it's good to know what the enemy is up to lol
you only know that by talking to them.
mr henderson probably doesn't agree
Of course Mr Hansell was shafted by the local/national labour party in his KCC seat, and so chose to leave the party
and stood as an indy(that also his choice)
Mr henderson would do better to work on why the labour party allowed some of its most respected/hard working cllrs leave the labour party, without trying to talk them into staying.
but again its easy to write to local papers.

I would be very worried if politicians of various colours were so insular that they did not at times work together.
As a complete outsider this seems like someone is simply trying to stir up trouble or petty point scoring and not worth bothering with.

you are correct jan (blimey we agree again lol)
it could also be that the local ukip branch has expelled a member and trying to deflect the people away from that issue
