The sainted Natalie has publicly apologised for saying the Rashford should spend more time on taking penalties rather than politics. What an odious, mean-spirited hypocrite that woman is.

Stupid lady .It was wonderful that the England Team gave us something to think about other than COVId .Our MP does not understand football.I don’t see her as a sporty woman?.Too late for apologies.
I felt for those young lads .Same in any sport .How often do cricketers face a fast bowler .Or a tennis player who is on the end of a fast serve .
Millions of people were watching those lads .At least he has helped a lot of deprived children. Our MP does not understand about the deprivation in our District .?

She is totally out of touch with her own electorate
But there also undertones here about , did she say this purely because of the colour of his skin?
Whether or not she did, it gives the far right the ammunition to racially abuse which we have seen across the country.
She should know better.
.or maybe the people who voted for her should .

It was a misjudged attempt at being humorous, because he missed an open goal!
Nothing to do with him being black, why do the left constantly drag race into it?

I agree with Reginald's race comment.
I would be willing to bet there are just as many racists on the political left as there are on the political right, unfortunately like whites there are also a minority of black people who are racists.

Racist or not it was a nasty thing to say.

If you listen to what O'Brien says, you'll find that he doesn't use the words 'racist or racism' once. If you think Elphicke's comment was an attempt at humour, then you're even more gullible than I previously thought.
It was a crass attempt at political point scoring amongst her kindred bigots. Like the infantile Lee Anderson (formerly a Labour councillor) proclaiming he couldn't bring himself to watch the England side because they insisted on taking the knee. Or perhaps like Laughing Boy going for the photo opportunity in an England shirt with 'BOJO' printed on the back when he has never expressed the slightest interest in football previously.
So please don't jump on the deflection wagon, Reggie. She's made a complete arse of herself and got found out. Sometimes even you might have to accept reality. There certainly seem to be a large number of Dovorians who have done so.

I guess she meant that if we left politics to the politicians and concentrated on our own jobs, we'd all get on a lot better. Natty knows best, after all.

You do talk a lot of bollocks Ray, my comment was purely about Keith calling out her comments as racsist. You could have worked that out from the bit of Keith's post I quoted but as usual you can't help but bite!

I doubt she's a racist - let's be fair, she hasn't said anything nasty about the French (or whoever) in weeks!

Ray of course your correct
She's showing her racist card .
If it was only because a footballer missed s penalty
Why didn't she make the same comments when other England players missed penalties in previous games ...
She clearly has a problem with these three and it does just so happen then are black .
And other penalty's missed were white
But Mrs Elphicke said nothing
That tells it's own story .
The main thing in all of this is
She's in a position to know better and has just helped to fuel the far right as we have seen across the country ...
If you was one of these three or Rashford himself would you feel an apology is enough ?

Rashford obviously will not like the adverse comments but he has such a strong character he will rise above it.
I doubt he will loose any sleep about the abuse especially with all the support he has received from the public, that mural and the multitude of messages being a shining example.

If I were Marcus Rashford... that would make me 23 again, but this time with enough gumption to pursue a cause I felt strongly about and enough skill to be a professional footballer in the Premier League and to play for my country. I doubt I'd be overly bothered about comments made by a little old biddy from Kent.

I think the problem is not only was our MP stupid making such comments but once again Dover is in the spotlight for the wrong reason.I have registered a complaint with DDCA .I hope others will too.

Another point is this was a private messaging chat between Conservatives who decided to pass her comments on to GB News. Not very much you can ever achieve as an MP if your own colleagues dislike you that much.

Sue well done for raising the issue with the local conservative association , although in the past they have not done that well in dealing with internal matters so although i welcome and applaud your moves I hope that in coming days you can come on here and report that the association had properly dealt with the matter .
.I did send an e mail to the MP
