Yes that is what I think ,we do not know about our MP or what they say he has done because they need his vote without it the blues could lose power they need his vote ,so they will not say what has done so bad that he is out of the party if indeed he has done anything wrong, but what is wrong is to hold on to power this way.
They and the police should come out in the open with it now.

I understand he's had the Whip taken away from him so he isn't obliged to vote with the Government if he so chooses.

If our MP HAS DONE WRONG then we should know and a BY-Election called ,and he must know by now what he has done if anything wrong ,or a clue what it is all about

or the case must be dropped ,why have the press, and TV not pick this one up,or have they been told by the powers to be to not print or do a follow up on it.What is the big hold up on going to the public after all he is Dovers MP .

There won't be a by-election unless Charlie stands down. What could be interesting is if we get another snap General Election and he is still suspended meaning he could stand as an independent against the official Tory candidate.

Is he a Independent now or still a blue? if still a blue I think he should stand down and a By -Election called and the he can stand again for any party he wants to, or not take part.If he is doing a good job for Dover then he stands to get in again .But the public of Dover must be told what he has done or not done.

Perhaps our Captain might shed light on whether the D&D Tories are running a selection for a new PPC. Captain? "What's the word on the street?"

His Grace must be a party activist by referring to "D & D", both parties do it to make sure that potential voting fodder don't feel left out.
The actual name of the constituency is Dover (D).

Interestingly, the Walmer Tory office has both Dover Conservatives and Canterbury Conservatives within. Good to see that Julian Brazier isn't homeless.
Anyway, Capt'n, what's occurring?

The blue party must back their own man in Dover or get rid of him and and tell us what he might have done wrong we can not go on for, four more years with a MP THAT has not got the backing of his own party and the public of Dover and Deal.It must all come out in the open now he must have some clue to what he might have done.

And if we had a good local press with reporters like there was some years ago they would be out there finding out what is wrong. We are now paying over a £1 per week for a local paper that cannot keep up with what is going on with our own MP.I am thinking I might have to make a come back and put myself forward yet again for the Dover seat next time round.

The ones who used to cover Dover in the Express have either moved on or working for Charlie now.

.... and are a bit annoyed that with all their experience and contacts even they are unable to find out what is going on.

They struggled to find out what was happening in dover most of the time, so that is hardly surprising.

Add to that Charlie's legal team have turned nothing up so far and it is looking more and more like a vendetta against him. Trying to get big corporations to pay their fair share of tax would always ensure he had enemies.

All this fiasco has proved is that Westminster is as much of an old boys network as it was in the past, not what you know but who and is still corrupt in the way it works.
This has done Mrs May and the Chief Whip no good at all showing they are no better if not worse than the rest of them. Even staunch Labour voters seem to think Charlie and his family have been treated badly.

I can't see where the Conservatives go from here. If indeed there is a police investigation, to whom would 'nothing to concern the public' results be notified: no-one or to Mr Elphicke? Surely not to a 3rd party unless that party (no pun intended) was the complainant. If that's correct, how can they take him back into the fold?

The top brass in the Police are only really interested when media coverage could show them in a bad light, we know this from the riots here in Dover. For the second one we couldn't move here without bumping into a policeperson and even a few months back they were still dragging felons from that day before the courts.
Moving on there was a list published showing the whips had a blackmail list of MPs usually accused of drunkenness or being over familiar with the female researchers. Charlie fell into the second category but none of the others have been suspended or been reported to the Police. I would have thought that the Bow Street runners would have jumped at the opportunity to feel a politician's collar but they haven't.

Some how the public must be told what has happen ,he is Dover and Deal MP so that give the public the right to know what or if he has done wrong and why have the TV not told about it on the news .

Howard is right, I think. Follow the spreadsheet back to its compilers. I do not believe for one second this "I know nothing about it" facade. Exactly the same tactic that the esteemed Damion Green adopted until he was forced to acknowledge otherwise.
