Phobia = an irrational hatred.
Criticism is not the same as being phobic. Fear all extremists within religions equally.
It is also worth remembering, the USA cites In God We Trust yet it is seen as the infidel in many Arab states due to its campaign of oppression and suppression of Arab development - the thick end of gun-boat diplomacy has been exacted on the Arab world via the hands of the USA.
I imagine our enemies pray to pretty much the same G/god as 'us', so religion isn't really the reason. The misuse of religion is.

Neither do your redefinitions, KB. As for 'personal disdain', I don't know the man so wouldn't venture a character assessment. But I do disdain his ideas, such as they are. But then, I'm happy that he'd feel the same about mine.

I see the new trial has been moved from 4 September to the 27th of September,, apparently, the government haven't supplied the charge details as ordered by the high court.

are any of you concerned that our judiciary is being used for political reasons by the conservative government ?
the high court has ruled the trial was illegal. do all you liberal labour lot, actually, believe that the legal guns will not be used against your own political standpoint?
do you actually believe the rich bankers that control this country, represented by the conservatives will hand number 10 to Jeremy Corbyn without a dirty fight ?

They didn't actually say the trial was illegal Keith and overall I am confident in the impartiality of the courts.

they did, that's why the case was dismissed and a retrial ordered ??
the judge had only seen 5 minutes of one hours evidence.
and had refused Robinson his barrister? and out of 4 organizations that reported on this trial only one was arrested ?

Courtesy of Wikipedia - seems like a technicality with one wrong word used, nothing illegal.
In May 2018, Robinson was sentenced to 13 months' imprisonment for contempt of court after publishing a Facebook Live video of defendants entering a law court, contrary to a court order to prevent reporting those trials while proceedings are ongoing.[8] That sentence included activation of an earlier three-month suspended sentence for a similar earlier contempt of court at Canterbury. On 1 August 2018 Robinson appealed against the contempt convictions at Canterbury and at Leeds. The matter came before The Court of Appeal (Criminal Division). His appeal against the Leeds conviction succeeded and the sentence was quashed. A new trial was ordered. His appeal against the Canterbury conviction failed in all respects bar one. The court had wrongly recorded that Robinson had been sentenced to three months imprisonment suspended for 18 months. In fact he had been committed to prison for three months suspended for 18 months. The Court of Appeal ordered the court records be amended to reflect the correct sentence. The distinction between sentenced to imprisonment and committed to prison for contempt affects the way the sentenced person is managed.
