They could teach the Government of North Korea a thing or two. Just looked at the agenda for next meeting and have counted 11 items to be discussed but are not disclosed to us. The term "to consider report" tells the public nothing about what is to be discussed. When the minutes are finally posted they are just as vague and tell us nothing that help us to decide whether they are doing a good job or not and we never know which way individual councillors voted.
In summing up they will be taking £717,000 from us this coming financial year yet consider themselves above having to explain anything about their activities.

The next meeting is this coming Wednesday and hopefully Keith will give a resume on what was actually discussed. The new Mayor will be chosen then by the nest of vipers on the Town Council, my money is on Graham Wanstall - 50p each way bet.

Well Christine you and I would waste a vote.I would vote for Cllr Wanstall but actually hope Cllr Precious comes through. If Cllr Nix gets it he needs a few lessons on protocol.

Having attended various functions over the years I always think it a good idea to have a mayor who does not look as though he is having to concentrate too much when using a knife and fork.

It has to be said that Graham has a huge following and to his credit has always managed to shake them off before they could get to him.

Isnt Wanstall the one that turned up in dressing gown & slippers at a memorial service ? & didnt it get to the main tabloids ,and then him & other Cllrs denied he was there even tho pics proved otherwise ,sorry wouldnt want someone like that as Mayor ,But then it should be the ppl of Dover that elects its Mayor not a bunch of tired self centred idiots that spend public money for their own selfish gains

No suzie he wasn't the one, he is however then one who turned up after the memorial service. But then you are already fully aware of that!

Exactly Reginald

. There are those who never let fact get in the way of a good story or rumour however untrue it might be.

I was at that service and he turned up before the end as I saw him arrive ,but what ever time he did or didn't turn up there was no need for him to be dressed as he was ,,Butbthen I think you too know that already

As was I and the service had very much finished, i stood and chatted to an old colleague for a few minutes and then walked past him on the way to my car as he was arriving and since when is it a crime to wear a dressing gown?
