This year's Dover Town Centre Management Christmas Window Competition has been won by Jeremy Stattersfield of Burnham House Veterinary Surgery. The competition started over five years ago when TCM was looking for ways to encourage shops to put up bright and cheerful displays in the town centre.
The competition attracts some keen entries with many shops and other businesses working hard to produce the most attractive displays.
This year has seen a record number of entries from both independent and multiple retailers, as well as other businesses in and around the town centre. The winner is awarded the cup, which is held by them until the following year, when it is handed over to the new winners.
Dover Town Centre Management's co-ordinator, David Somers said: "It's really encouraging to see so many high quality entries for the 2006 competition. Those businesses that make these displays, really make a difference to Dover".
Other business which entered this year's competition were Ann & Pam's Florists, Elms Vale Garage, Woolwich, Contessa, O2, Shoppers Pride, The Carphone Warehouse, Monique's Fashions, M&S, John Angell, Dorothy Perkins, Party Planners and Corals Pencester Road branch.
