A Dickens Festival was held in Dover town centre today (Saturday 7 October), with costumes and drama.
The event, organised by Dover Carnival Association, was the first of its kind to be held in the town. Throughout the day there were stalls in the Market Square, and members of Dover Youth Theatre performed playlets.
Carnival courts from Canterbury and Faversham came to Dover to support DCA's Miss Dover, Grace Scott, for the procession through the town.
